The story of cannapreneur underdogs and high-functioning stoners trying to manifest their dreams…while they hold onto housing and come up against that Bay Area brand of covert racism and inequality.
A Day in the Business of Red & Jill
This 25-minute story shows a day-in-the-biz of SmokeEasy™, helmed by Red and Jill, a pair of high-functioning cannapreneurs.
Today’s mission: Get their THC tampon prototype into the hands of potential investor and festival headliner, Rihanna. Overzealous security guards, menstrual cycles, and festival jail can’t stop them from making the pitch of a lifetime.
In this episode, we’re introduced to Red and Jill’s worldview through fantasy musical numbers. We meet Mama, Red’s mother and the cook/herbalist/witch behind SmokeEasy™ cannabis concoctions. And Red & Jill have their first—but not last—run-in with Bobby, a Black security guard and Jill’s love interest/ nemesis.
Will Jill escape festival jail? Will they make it backstage to meet Rihanna? Where did that last tampon go?
About the characters
Jill, a Stanford dropout, is set on making the Forbes 30 Under 30 list so she can finally make her successful parents proud.
And Red, as freelance as they come, strives to hold onto her family home, which she shares with Mama and Jill.
Together, with the help of Mama, they’re building SmokeEasy, a line of ultra-feminine cannabis products designed to disrupt patriarchal institutions with every menstrual cycle
Infiltrating backstage at a festival, escaping a problematic yoga retreat, protesting racist algorithms: Red and Jill stay high and woke—while getting their burgeoning brand out there, of course.

Born and raised on opposite sides of the Bay, our friendship and collaboration began in 2017 while working in tech. We bonded over our drive to act as “high”-functioning, creative forces for a more equal world.
Our shared happy hour joints have supported healing—and hilarious—conversations through all of the recent “unprecedented times.” And they served as the inspiration for SmokeEasy.
Red & Jill are going places and they’re bringing friendship and healing with them. But first, they’re sharing a joint.
The revolution will be high.
